Burning permits are available online at www.maine.gov/burnpermit for a fee of $7.
Permits can be obtained at the Fire Station on a "by chance" basis. There are generally firefighters around the station but not always. Currently, there are no set hours for volunteers to be at the station.
Our Clerk, Chris Wolfe, may issue a burn permit if she is available, as can Roland Abbot, the EMS Director, but only if he is at the office and free to do so. He is not to be called otherwise.
